Most Active Organs In Autumn

Autumn is here and so begins the time of year when lungs & large intestine will need more attention. In the Autumn months, these organs are most active and are working harder, therefore, it is beneficial to take extra care of them and consume foods that support them.

During the autumn, the foods that are in season have natural preservative qualities so that they can be stored for months until the weather starts to warm up again in the Spring.

Foods that support your body during this season include squash, root veggies, beans, cooked fruits, and as for the grain – rice and millet. When you think about it, these foods last longer then the foods we eat in summer; such as fruits and salads.

Here are a few recipes suggestions for the autumn season: Kinpira Soup, beans, or Apple Phyllo.
